So these past couple of weeks have been super busy – my friend Harley came to town and I’ve been showing her all over! We’ve hit up the Quarter, Magazine Street, Abita Springs (the Abita Mystery House is SO WEIRD), seen Garbage in concert (Shirley Manson is so badass), not to mention going to a ton of places to eat. But the biggest reason she came is for Book Lovers Con!
Hi, my name is Karen, and I am obsessed with floral prints. I’ve tried to deny it for many years now, but I must admit after looking in my closet – I have WAY too many floral print dresses. And I’m pretty sure I’m not going to stop buying them.
I’m not sure how to say it other than just coming out and saying it, so… I lost my job at the end of March. 😞 The business I worked for had some cutbacks and I was one of the people that were let go.

Spring is finally here in Louisiana! This year has been a lot different than usual because we’ve actually had a real honest-to-God spring, with cool nights and low humidity and warm days. Typically, we only get like a week of that and then we roll right into 90% humidity and temperatures in the 80s-90s. NO THANK YOU. I’m determined to enjoy this weather as much as possible.

Hey everyone! It’s been a rough few months. A lot of things have been happening in my personal life that has kept me from blogging (more on that in a future post). But I’m ready for 2019 to be the year I really focus on my creative endeavors, and blogging is going to be one of them! I’ve really been ignoring writing for a long time, and I really need to get back into it. It’s a great outlet, and I feel accomplished when something is completed.
