What is it about summertime that makes me want to change my style? Perhaps it has something to do with wanting to wear less clothes – although realistically, it’s so dang hot down here that even wearing nothing is still too much. Either way, when the heat hits, I just want to change up my entire closet. This year, I’ve been eyeing more minimalist styles, solid colors, and simple prints such as polka dots and stripes. While poking around online, I came across a new plus-sized clothing company, Ori, and their Signature French Terry Wrap Dress. […]
Let’s talk vampires. Because if there’s one thing I can talk about, it’s vampires. Vampires were my first real foray into the goth scene in high school (thanks, Anne Rice’s Queen of the Damned). I met most of my college friends through playing live action Vampire: The Masquerade for YEARS – way into my 20s. Hell, I met Doug at a Vampire LARP.
I love cherry everything. My favorite snowball flavor is cherry (black cherry if they have it), my favorite pie flavor is cherry, and goodness knows if there is a cherry print anything I’m gonna want it in my closet. I’m not sure how to say it other than just coming out and saying it, so… I lost my job at the end of March. 😞 The business I worked for had some cutbacks and I was one of the people that were let go.
As most of you have noticed in my more recent outfit posts/reviews, I’ve been gravitating towards Cobb Hill shoes. I’m here to tell you, internet – there’s a reason why. And that reason is: THEY ARE RIDICULOUSLY COMFORTABLE.
Spring is finally here in Louisiana! This year has been a lot different than usual because we’ve actually had a real honest-to-God spring, with cool nights and low humidity and warm days. Typically, we only get like a week of that and then we roll right into 90% humidity and temperatures in the 80s-90s. NO THANK YOU. I’m determined to enjoy this weather as much as possible.
